Prana Thoracic Welcomes Dr. Lance Black as Chief Clinical Strategy Officer
Prana Thoracic is thrilled to announce a valuable addition to our team with the appointment of Dr. Lance Black as our Chief Clinical Strategy Officer.
Dr. Lance Black brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our organization, having served as the Senior Medical Director at 3ive Labs, a pioneering MedTech startup focused on the development of the world's first Renal Assist Device (RAD). Prior to joining Prana Thoracic, he also held the position of Associate Director at the Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute, where he played a pivotal role in the creation and launch of innovative medical devices and digital health companies. Dr. Black's extensive contributions extend to his tenure as a Medical Affairs Manager for GCMI, where he actively contributed to the development and testing of over 25 medical devices and played a vital role in more than 30 patents. Dr. Black served in the United States Air Force as a Family and Flight Medicine physician leading the rapid response team for F-22 pilots in Okinawa, Japan, with two deployments and as Chief of Medical Staff at Manas Transit Air Base in Kyrgyzstan.
Dr. Lance Black holds an MD and BS in Biological Engineering from Louisiana State University, complemented by an MBID from the esteemed Georgia Institute of Technology.
